Dearest ABF friends all over the world,
shortly before the most beautiful and joyous celebration of Christianity, whose profound and radiant significance extends to all mankind, given its ecumenical value that overflows with love, we would like to send you all our heartfelt wishes for a joyful and serene Holy Easter.
Synonymous with an inner springtime that nourishes, consoles, and strengthens, the celebration of the Easter feast celebrates rebirth, the unstoppable, mysterious, and yet blatant power of life that blossoms and flourishes again, reminding us of that wondrous and continuous regeneration that renews our certainty in a supreme Architect, our heavenly Father.
Each of us can bear witness to it, can do our part in glorifying Easter by starting from an inner rebirth and acting – throughout the time given to us for our earthly path – according to the divine plan. We who are infinitesimal but potentially perfect emanations of it, and who therefore can access the privilege of actively witnessing this rebirth, this palingenesis (and just hear how familiar and welcoming it sounds, this only apparently erudite word: “palingenesis”, the genesis that is renewed, just as it happens every day, every time the sun rises).
Even the stories – now many thousand strong – that make up the project biography of the foundation that bears our last name, are stories of rebirth: of communities, of people, of places.
It is to you, ABF’s friends and thus the messengers of the dynamic and regenerative force of hope, understood not as inert expectation but as diligent and trusting cooperation in striving for a better world, that our daily gratitude goes.
To you who are the sunny and vibrant expression of the revolutionary power of the Easter message, we extend an embrace, together with our profound joy to know that you are, once again, by our side, in the many stories of rebirth found in the foundation’s projects. All significant stories, because they involve the existential perspectives of our brothers and sisters, because they often concern the youngest and the most vulnerable, so that every story is a part of a bigger mosaic that, as is always important to reiterate, we call ABF, but at its core carries the watermark of the name and last name of each of you.
